Irene A. Wojtak (Witek), age 93, of Marseilles passed away on Saturday, September 3, 2022.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Edward W. Wojtak, Sr.  She will lovingly be remembered by her children, Ann Marie (Albert) Potas, Joseph (Diane), Edward W., Jr., Sharon (Dennis) Brandt, Steven (Gwen), Keith, and the late Daniel; grandchildren, Erin (Steven) Hornung, Kathryn Potas, Danielle (Cory) Kramer, Eric, Tanner, Cody, Emily, Zachary and Nelson Brandt; great-grandchildren, Samantha, Thaddeus Hornung, Reid Kramer; and many nieces and nephews.

Irene was born in Chicago on July 19, 1929 to Karol and Anna (Swies) Witek.  She was the loving sister of the late Mary (Raymond) Wojtak, Stell (Alexander) Lach, Edward Witek and Joseph (Eleanor) Witek.

She was a founding member of the American Legion Auxiliary Central Park Post Unit 1028; Treasurer of St. Anne's PNA Group Lodge 2244; St. Pancratius Rosary Sodality and St. Pancratius Catholic Church and School member.

She will be remembered as a strong woman who put the needs of others before her own.

Visitation will be held from 9 – 10 a.m., Saturday, September 10 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Marseilles, immediately followed by a Mass of Christian Burial.  Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery in Justice, IL.  Seals Campbell Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
