Obituary

Hunter C. A. Matney, 3, of Brimfield, IL, passed away Monday, January 17, 2022 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, January 23 at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 3 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Bill Clark of the Marseilles Church of the Nazarene officiating.

He was born on July 31, 2018, in Ottawa, to Allen and Kayla (Comer) Matney.

Hunter was a happy little guy, who was very strong willed and taught his family a lot in his short time here. He was an inspiration to all that knew him. He was a member Tiny Super Hero's on Facebook.

He is survived by his parents; his siblings, Leon Matney, Jacob Kiefling, Wyatt Matney, and Cole Matney; grandparents, Annette (Mark) Klepk, Tammy (Rob) Lucas, Carl (Rebecca) Matney, and Patrick (Michelle) Logsdon; several aunts, uncles, and cousins including Donna, Bryan, and Jeffrey Hickman; and special nurses, Kris Fairyish and Brenda Neville.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Kegan Slyvester, Emma Comer, and Mathis Matney; his grandfather, Jerry Comer Sr; his great-grandfathers, Butch and John; and one uncle, Jacob Logsdon.
