Harold Dean Booth, 77, of Seneca, passed away Monday, November 7, 2016 at his home.

Graveside services will be private. Burial will be in Griggsville City Cemetery in Griggsville, IL. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home.

Dean was born September 21, 1939 in Pearl, Ill. to Delbert Harold and Helen (Talkington) Booth. In 1961, he married Janice Stauffer of Griggsville, Ill., who preceded him in death in 2003.

He served in the Army. He had been a volunteer for the Seneca Ambulance Service and Seneca Fire Department. He was employed by Nicor until his retirement.

Dean is survived by one daughter, Kamela (John) Bierbower of Iola, Wis.; one son, Kevin Dean Booth of Seneca; five grandchildren, Zachary, Courtney, Kyla, Anthony, and Justin; and one sister, Charlotte (Duane) Harrison of Houston, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; one sister, Jeannie Warner; and one brother, Dale Booth.

Memorials may be given to the Seneca Fire Department or Seneca Ambulance Service.
