Harel Sharp, 94, of Marseilles, passed away Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at Joliet Area Community Hospice.

Funeral services will be private. There will be no visitation. Seals-Campbell Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

He was born September 14, 1924, in Marseilles to William and Selistis (Hadley) Sharp. On July 3, 1948, he married Betty Jean Mathews of Dayton, IL who survives.

Harel was employed by Nabisco until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing in Minnesota and vacationing in Florida.

Harel is survived by his wife, Betty of 70 years; two granddaughters, Shannon and Allison Sharp, both of Cold Springs, MN; one daughter-in-law, Pam Sharp of Cold Springs, MN; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one son, Harel Jay Sharp, two brothers, Eugene and Cleo Sharp; and a sister, Lucy.

Memorials may be directed to the Marseilles First Baptist Church or Joliet Area Community Hospice.
