Grace Nadine Taylor, 21, of Ottawa, passed away Monday, April 19, 2021.
Visitation will be held from 3-7 p.m. Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home. It is kindly requested that those in attendance of the visitation wear a mask and practice social distancing. Funeral services will be private with Pastor Kevin Donoho of Cross Bridge Community Church officiating.
Grace was born June 23, 1999, in Joliet, IL to Ray and Stephanie (James) Taylor.
Grace was born the youngest of 5 siblings, the "baby" to all. She was very independent as a small child which carried over into her young adult life. Grace always enjoyed the simple things. She didn't need much to be entertained and could not care less about the materialistic things in life. She loved her family and friends more than anything. She was kind, caring, loving, with a beautiful heart and kind soul. She wasn't afraid to speak her mind and didn't try to be politically correct, she was always just herself. She was one of a kind. Silly, awkward, fun, goofy, generous, loyal and laid back. She was known for her incredible dry sense of humor and for making up her own words and sayings while using her squeaky voice. She was "saucy" in the best most loving and comical sense of the word. She would randomly say things that would just crack you up. Her smile was amazing and contagious. Her laughter made the room shine. She was sensitive but strong. Grace found the good in everyone and always gave or thought of others before thinking of herself. She enjoyed working out, especially at the gym. Grace held a special place in her heart for all animals. There aren't enough words to describe how beautiful and special Grace was. Her spirit was endless. She will be forever deeply missed by her family and friends. We are all blessed to have been a part of her life and we are now forever broken.
She is survived by her mother, Stephanie James; her father, Ray (Ann) Taylor; her siblings, Danielle (Justin) Hanson, Michael (Jacqueline) Taylor, Bo (Bella) Taylor, Olivia Taylor, Joseph Nelson, and Robert Nelson; her maternal grandmothers, Beth Jackson and Sue James; her paternal grandparents, Mike and Phyllis Taylor; and her nephews, Brycen, Liam, Kellen, and Michael Kanen.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfathers, Jesse James and Russ Jackson.
