Gilberta L. Ball, 81, of Marseilles, passed away Sunday, August 28, 2016, at Morris Hospital.


Funeral services will be private. There will be no visitation. Seals-Campbell Funeral Home in Marseilles is handling the arrangements.

Gilberta was born January 22, 1935 in Terre Haute, Ind. to Gilbert and Florence (Price) Pucket. On August 10, 1956, she married Fred Ball of Terre Haute who preceded her in death in 1997.

She was very devoted to her family and loved them very much, especially her grandchildren.

Gilberta is survived by a daughter, Debra (Lonny) Thompson of Marseilles; a son, David Ball of Marseilles; two grandchildren, Nicole (Jason) Sole and Jordan Thompson, both of Marseilles; three sisters, Maxine Anderson, Judy Meyers, and Janice (Jimmy) Secrest, all of Terre Haute; and a sister-in-law, Nell (John) Bee of Salt Lake City, Utah.

She was preceded in death by her father; her mother, Florence Bemis; her step-father, William Bemis; her husband; and a brother, Forest Pucket.

Memorials may be given to Pet Project.
