George E. Duvall, 87, of Manlius Township, passed away Tuesday, November 9, 2021, at LaSalle County Nursing Home.

Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday, November 14 at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home in Marseilles. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with Rev. Duane Kaufman officiating. Burial will be in Fox River Lutheran Cemetery.

George was born on October 6, 1934, in Minooka, to Ernest and Ione (Helvig) Duvall. In 1963, he married Betty Thompson of Marseilles who preceded him in death in 2020.

He attended Minooka Grade School and Minooka High School, graduating in the class of 1953. He served in the United States Army from 1957 to 1959 and was stationed in Germany. He farmed in Manlius Township and served as the Manlius Township Road Commissioner from 1974 until 2017.

Survivors include his two daughters, Hazel (Stuart) Anderson of Marseilles and Rachel Duvall of Pontiac; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Betty; two brothers, Norman and John Duvall; a sister, Alice Kahler; and his brothers and sisters-in-law.
