George W. Adams, 63, of Marseilles, passed away Tuesday December, 22, 2020.

Visitation with social distancing will be held Monday, December 28, 2020 from 4-7 p.m. at the Seals-Campbell Funeral Home. Funeral services will be private. Burial will be in Galloway Cemetery.

He was born on January 21, 1957, in Ottawa, to John and Elsie (Rieuf) Adams. On March 28, 1981, he married Mary Orsburn of Marseilles.

George had been employed by Weiss Farms, Marseilles Brick Factory, and Midwest Operating Engineers Local #150 until he retired in February of 2020 to be a grandpa. He enjoyed helping friends and family complete tasks and working on projects in his garage, all while helping to maintain the family farm. George liked fishing and attending drag races. He was a loving husband, devoted father, and loyal friend. He was always willing to sacrifice himself to help others and was well-known for having the ability to fix anything.

He is survived by his wife, Mary; his children, Kelsey Adams and Lyndsey Adams, both of Marseilles; a daughter-in-law, Brittney Huey Adams; a grandson, Jaydon Adams (with another on the way); and his siblings, John "Slick" Adams, Brenda "Susie" Carlock, Glenda "Mort" Hillyer, and Wanda "Toes" Green.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
