Florence O. Cox, 94, of Jasper, IN, formerly of Marseilles, passed away Thursday, March 10, 2022 at St. Charles Health Campus in Jasper, IN.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Monday, March 14 at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at noon on Monday at the funeral home with Rev. Duane Kaufman officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery in Marseilles.

Florence was born on June 18, 1927, in Marseilles, to William and Ivy (Sackett) Hott. On April 24, 1944, she married Arlie Eirhart of Marseilles, who was killed in combat in November of 1944. She is a Gold Star widow.

Florence enjoyed walking, gardening, and canning the food she grew. She worked at several restaurants in Marseilles.

She is survived by her two sons, Kenneth (Judy) Cox of Jasper, IN and Gary (Gayle) Cox of Fair Play, MO; her two daughters, Sandra Rivers of Mammoth Springs, AR and Tammy Cox of Streator; one brother, Wayne Hott of Eustis, FL; twelve grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; many step-grandchildren; and many great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arlie; her four brothers, Neiman, William, Ike, and Clifford; and three sisters, Harriet Vernoy, Sarah Reppine, and Patricia Hott.
