Eric J. Denham, 57, of Marseilles, passed away suddenly on June 9, 2022.

Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, June 25 at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home with Rev. Megan Thompson officiating. A celebration of life will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday prior to services at the funeral home.

He was born on October 24, 1964, in Santa Ana, CA, to Monte J. and Janell (Dowis) Denham.

Eric graduated from Seneca High School and was employed as an Over-The-Road truck driver for many years. He and his mother operated Dowis Ranch. Eric specialized in hybridizing Daylilies, several of which are registered with AHS. He was a member of the Chicagoland Daylily Society and formally served as president. Eric was an animal lover. He raised and bred Pit Bulls. Over the past 20 years, he bred Ball Pythons and was a member of the Chicago Herpetological Society. He will be remembered as a kind, quiet man- a gentle giant with a great beard.

He is survived by his mother, Janell; his siblings, Robin (Kerry) Denham Taylor, April (David Lehman) Denham, James "JD" Denham, Dawn (Jim Holtz) Denham, and Iris (Bill) Cunico; and his nieces and nephews, Turell, Holden, Kendall, Logan, Evee, and Emmy Jo.

He was preceded in death by his father, Monte, and his grandparents.
