Enes R. Berta, 94, of Marseilles passed away Monday, November 5 at Ottawa Pavilion.

Services will be private with burial in Riverview Cemetery in Marseilles. Seals-Campbell Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Enes was born on May 2, 1924 in Marseilles to Steve and Giacinta (Mussetti) Capra. She was the youngest of 9 siblings, and the only one to be born on the Capra Farm in Marseilles.

She was a 1942, graduate of Marseilles High School, and was employed by Nabisco until 1948.  She was a life-long member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Marseilles.

On June 28, 1947, she married Julius Berta at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Marseilles.  He passed away on December 10, 1964.  Through the years, Enes was a member of St. Joseph's Alter & Rosary Society, VFW and American Legion Auxiliaries, Nabisco Women's Auxiliary and the Moose.

She is survived by a daughter, Linda Cordial of Marseilles; two nieces, Sandra (Moe) Rahling of Chatham, IL and Peg Berta of Seneca; a nephew, Roger Berta of Marseilles; and "like a daughter" family friend, Susan Pomatto, of Brodhead, WI.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Julius; two sisters, Marie (Capra) Moe Kiley and Nora Capra; 6 brothers, Bruno, Mario, Steve, John, Edward Capra and Marco Bastai; a niece, Jo Anne (Moe) Hammack; and a son-in-law, Jim Cordial.

Memorials may be specified for St. Anthony of the Atonement, St. Jude Childrens' Research Hospital, or Pet Project in Marseilles.
