Elijah Ray Lara, 2 months, of Marseilles, passed away on Thursday, November 21, 2024.

Visitation will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. on Sunday, November 24, 2024 at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home in Marseilles. Funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. at the funeral home with Michael Scheib officiating.

Elijah was born September 12, 2024, in Morris to Cristian Lara and Kayla Austin.

He is survived by his parents, Cristian and Kayla; his grandparents, Whitney Gray and Diana Austin, Rick Lara and Jennifer McInerney; his uncles, Cameron Austin, Warren Lara, Jonathan, Ashton, Ryan, and Jameson Oliver; great grandparents, Nick (Lorena) Norris, Dale (Deb) McInerney, and Brenda Lara; and many cousins.

He was preceded in death by his great uncle, Dale Robert McInerney, Jr.

Elijah was a sweet boy who loved everyone, if you smiled he would smile right back. He loved to be close to people and cuddle and get hugs from everyone.  The first thing he would do every morning is look up when he woke and smile and laugh at you. He loved to sit on the porch and see decorations, Halloween or Christmas lights. He loved to listen and learn to use his little voice to talk back to you.
