On Tuesday August 27th, 2019, Edwin J Miles, loving father, grandfather, brother and uncle, passed away at the age of 70.

Edwin was born on June 23, 1949 in Hinsdale, Il to Edwin Sr. and Mildred Miles.

Eddie married the love of his life, Patty on December 1, 1978.

He was a member of the Carpenters Union, Local 174. Eddie had a passion for his craft which he proudly passed down to his son, Jon. He spent the majority of his life living in Marseilles, Il, a place he loved and where he was a dear friend to many. His favorite pastimes included building model cars, bowling, making pizza and being with his friends and family. Eddie Miles was a consummate jokester and found great joy in making people laugh (at his jokes and one liners.)

He loved a good challenge and that meant making his own rules and doing whatever he was told could not be done. He was a man that appreciated the simple things in life and believed in being a man of his word.

Eddie spent his last days with his loving sister and brother in law, Rick and Jeannie Dolgner, surrounded by his loving nephew and nieces, Terry, Mary, Laurie and Renee.

He is survived by his daughters, Stephanie (Mike) Kula, Christina (Tony) Vaughan, his grandchildren, Michael, Thomas and Kyla and his sister Jeannie (Rick) Dolgner.

Edwin was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Ann Miles, his parents, Edwin and Mildred Miles, his brother, Daniel (Marilyn) Miles and son, Jonathan Miles.

Eddie spent his childhood in Clarendon Hills and he will be laid to rest alongside his parents, wife and son at Clarendon Hills Cemetery at 6900 S Cass Ave, Darien, IL 60561 on Monday September 9, 2019 at 2 pm.
