Edward E. Gilman Sr., 83, of Ottawa, formerly of Park Rapids, MN, passed away Sunday, December 27, 2020 at OSF St. Elizabeth Medical Center.

Funeral services will be private at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home.

He was born November 15, 1937, in Peoria, to Clarence and Bernadette (Short) Gilman. On December 28, 1957, he married Marilyn Miller of Peoria who survives.

Ed was employed by Caterpillar in East Peoria for thirty-two years until his retirement. He was a member of the UAW Local #974. In his retirement, he moved to Park Rapids, MN and lived on a lake for over thirty years. He loved motorcycles and flat track racing. He owned and operated "The Motorcycle Shop" in Peoria and Pekin.

Ed is survived by his wife, Marilyn; one daughter, Debra (Randy) Osborne of Marseilles; two sons, Edward Jr. (May) Gilman of Park Rapids, MN and Scott (Cheryl) Gilman of AZ; thirteen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Eleanor McDaniel and Patricia Lemons.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Tammy Krammer; and one son in infancy.
