Earl Raymond Youmans Jr., 82, of Aurora, passed away Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at his home.
Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, January 22 at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home in Marseilles. Memorial service will follow at 4 p.m. with Rev. Megan Thompson of the Marseilles United Methodist Church officiating. Military honors will be immediately after services Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Galloway Cemetery.
He was born on June 20, 1939, in Marseilles, to Earl Raymond Sr. and Velma (Leger) Youmans. In 1959, he married Sharon Burrows of Marseilles.
Earl served in the U.S. Army. He was employed by Caterpillar in Aurora for 30 years until his retirement. He was active in the Boy Scouts when his children were young. He was a member of the Marseilles United Methodist Church when he lived in the area.
He is survived by his two sons, Neil Youmans of Utica and Jason Youmans of LaSalle; one sister, Rita Ingmanson of Marseilles; two brothers, Frank Youmans of Marseilles and Mark (Mary) Youmans of Peru; and many nieces and nephews.
Earl was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Claude Youmans; his brother-in-law, Leo Ingmanson; and his sister-in-law, Carol Youmans.
Memorials may be directed to the Marseilles United Methodist Church.
