Dorothy Michelle "Mickie" Bell, mother to Lorraine Bell, grandmother to Ethan Bell, passed away on September 13, 2024. Her final moments were spent surrounded by family.

Known for her welcoming heart and love of the arts, Mickie will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Mickie's family asks that she be remembered for the joy and kindness she brought to others in life, not the sadness of her passing.

She is survived by her daughter, Lorraine (David Lee) Bell of Berwyn, IL; a grandson, Ethan Bell of Chicago, IL; her siblings, Jaymie Zoch of Dubuque IA, Georgia Bell of Chicago, IL, Henry (Edna) Bell of Berwyn, IL, Patricia (John) Lemond of Chicago, IL, Mary (Jeff) Lee of Skokie, IL, George (Suzi) Bell of Hampshire, IL, and Charles (Tamara) Bell of Minooka, IL; a brother-in-law, Josh Alper of Chicago, IL; 14 nieces and nephews; and 7 great nieces and nephews.

Mickie was preceded in death by her parents, George and Lorraine Bell; two brothers, Christopher and Chester Bell; two sisters, Jean Witt and Eileen Alper; one brother-in-law, Joe Zoch; a great nephew, Caleb Bell; and her grandparents, Chester and Ethel Bell and Harry and Alma Whalen.

A memorial will be held at Scouts Lodge (Roselle Park District) in Roselle, IL on December 7, 2024, from 1 pm to 3 pm. In lieu of flowers donations are welcome but not necessary.
