Donald W. Scheib, 88, of rural Marseilles, passed away Sunday, July 23, 2023 at Morris Hospital.

Funeral services will be private. Seals-Campbell Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements.

Donald was born May 3, 1935, in Ottawa, to William and Amelia (Hackensmith) Scheib. On April 14, 1956, he married Dorothy Ohme of Ottawa who survives.

He farmed in Rutland Township for many years of his life. He also enjoyed woodworking, reading, and tinkering in his farm shop.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; his children, Laurie (Bob) Smitley, Chris (Kim) Scheib, and Steve (Denise) Scheib; and was loved by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Bill Scheib.
