Donald J. Miller, 77, of Ottawa, formerly of Marseilles, passed away Sunday, March 31, 2019 at OSF St Francis in Peoria.

Private family services were held at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL. Seals-Campbell Funeral Home in Marseilles was in charge of arrangements.

Don was born on December 30, 1941, in Ottawa, to Jess Bernard and Leila Helen (Wiley) Miller. On April 26, 1963, prom night, he married Shirley Spicer of Marseilles, who survives.

He served in the US Army in the Vietnam War. He was employed by GE Plastics until his retirement in 2001. He was an avid car lover, especially Ford Mustangs and was very active in car shows. His other hobbies include fishing and traveling with his family.

Don is survived by his wife, Shirley; two sons, Jeff A. (Julie) Miller of Appleton, WI and James J. (Shelley) Miller of San Antonio, TX; and four grandchildren, Maddie, Mia, Scott and Brooke.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorials may be given to the charity of the donor's choice.
