Dolores M. Jones Deerwester, 84, of Ottawa, formerly of Marseilles, passed away Saturday, December 9, 2017, at Parker Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Streator.

Funeral services were private and there will be no visitation. Seals-Campbell Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Dolores was born September 14, 1933 in Ottawa, to John and Frona (Caffee) Brunetto. She was married to Kenneth Deerwester who preceded her in death in 2006.

She was a very active member in the Eagles when she lived in Toledo, OH. She was an avid crafter and enjoyed playing bridge.

Dolores is survived by two daughters, Jennifer (Mike) Gilberstad of Yorkville and Jodene (Gary) White of Ottawa; two sons, John (Karen) Jones of Alabama and Michael Jones of Rockford; nine Grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Rosalie Knudson of Ottawa; and many nieces and nephews including, John (Jeanne) Knudson, Pamela (Bob) Muzzarelli, Jim Knudson and Peggy (Jim) Waddell.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; two sons, Steven in infancy and Daniel at a young age; and one sister, Jackie Ballestrieri.

Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
