Dixie Lee Ratcliff, 71, of Seneca, passed away Friday, September 16, 2022 at her home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, September 21 at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Duane Kaufman officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery at a later date.

She was born September 22, 1950, in Ottawa, to George and Vera (Fowler) Gumm. In 2001, she married Wesley Ratcliff, who preceded her in death on June 15, 2021.

Dixie had been employed by Nabisco and later by Clover until her retirement. She loved to fish and was an avid horseback rider, especially enjoying trail rides with her family and friends. She was loved by all who knew her.

She is survived by seven children, Dawn (Kevin) Gauntt of TX, Margie Shannon of Streator, Jill (Roger) Conrad of Streator, Roger Cade of Granville, Brenda Sheedy of Coal City, Rhonda (Scott) Yetton of Noblesville, IN, and Brian Ratcliff of Easton, KS; sixteen grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Roger Cade and Wesley Ratcliff; one daughter, LeeAnne Riss; three sisters, Donna, Kay, and Linda; and two brothers, Roger and Al.
