Dixie Marie Perona, 72, of Seneca, passed away Sunday, March 6, 2022.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, March 11 at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home. Memorial services will begin at 7 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Duane Kaufman officiating.

Dixie was born December 30, 1949, in Seneca, to Wilma Rivers, who later married Carney Adams.

She attended Marseilles High School. Dixie was best known for her love of family and many friends. She became Marseilles' first lady barber in 1982.

She is survived by two sons, Mick (Dianna) Perona of Texas and Joe (Jody) Perona of Yorkville; six grandchildren, Dustin Hougas, Mitch, Aidan, and Emily Perona, and Roman and Dominic Perona; one great-grandson, Dustin Junior Hougas; best friends, Mike (Kar) Perona and Doug Wood; a brother, Warren Adams of Marseilles; and one sister, Betty Jo Bruner of Tennessee.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Sandra Neiman and Ruth Milton.
