Dell Farmer, 95, of Marseilles, passed away Sunday, June 4, 2023 at Illinois Veterans Home in LaSalle.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, June 12 at Riverview Cemetery in Marseilles with Rev. Duane Kaufman officiating. Seals-Campbell Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.

He was born July 15, 1927, in Elk Horn, KY to Ova and Mae (Tongate) Farmer. In 1969, he married Irene Perkins of Marseilles who preceded him in death in 2002.

Dell served in the US Navy in World War II from 1945 to 1946. He was employed by L.O.F. for thirty years until his retirement. He owned and operated Dell's Tap in Marseilles for over 20 years.

He is survived by his children, Dellania Lorensen of Naplate, Judy (Terry) Wilson, and Mary Santoy, both of Ottawa; nine grandchildren, Theresa (Randy Garitto) DeLagarza, Christian (Sydney Strobel) Santoy, Eric (Jody Hoover) Santoy, Tina (Tim) Casey, Sarah and Terry Jr. Wilson, and Allen (Gina), Chris, and Brian (Tayana) Tunget; and five great-grandchildren, Aylah Santoy, and Tiara, Joseph, Daniel, and Matthew Casey.

Dell was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Doyle; a nephew, Charles; and niece, Patsy Farmer.
