David S. Tiffin, 68, of Ottawa, passed away Saturday, October 26, 2024 at his home surrounded by his family.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

David was born on May 14, 1956 in Geneva, IL to Victor and Martha Jean (Langston) Tiffin. On August 3, 1984, he married Ellen Spearow of WI who survives.

David attended Naperville Central High School. He owned and operated Dave's Plaster N' Stucco in Ottawa and worked throughout the Chicagoland area. He was also employed as a custodian at Ottawa Elementary School for ten years until his retirement. He loved riding motorcycles, playing pool, poker, and golf games. Dave had a great sense of humor with memorable faces. He loved science fiction and eating good food, his favorite being Mexican and pizza. Dave was a great husband, father, and grandfather.

He is survived by his wife, Ellen; three sons, Cory (Lisa Dell) of San Francisco, Matthew of Chicago, and Simon (Miranda Molina) of Champaign; one grandchild, Cyrus, and another due in March; his sister, Brianne Martin; four brothers, Vic Tiffin Jr., Allen Tiffin, Mark Blevins, and Drew Tiffin; and two stepbrothers, Eric and Nathan Pelletier.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Rebecca Tiffin; two sisters, Sharon and Melissa; and one brother, Don.
