David Bruce Linton, 70, of Marseilles, passed away Wednesday, November 19, 2025.

Memorial visitation will be held from 10 to 11 am Friday, January 9 at the First Congregational Church in Marseilles. A celebration of life will begin at 11 am at the church with Pastor Pamela Haug officiating. Military honors will be accorded following services at the church. Burial will be in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. Seals-Campbell Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements and cremation rites.

Dave was born on June 6, 1955, in Ottawa, to Donald and Barbara (Nilsen) Linton.

Dave graduated from Marseilles High School in the class of 1973. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served honorably. He was a member of the Marseilles Volunteer Fire Department before moving to Bloomington, IN where he was employed as a paramedic until his retirement.

Dave is survived by two daughters, Brittany and Melanie Linton of Indiana; two grandchildren; three brothers, Robin (Marie) and Craig, both of Marseilles, and Alan (Kathleen) of Oahu, HI, and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Brandi; two sisters, Mary Ann Heermann-Smith and Amy Jo Linton-Smith; and a niece, Alison Linton.
