Darlene Mae Keller

Darlene Mae Keller, 91, of Seneca, passed away Monday, September 21, 2026.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery at a later date. Seals-Campbell Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements and cremation rites.

Darlene was born on May 1, 1935, in Morris, IL, to Ronald and Villa (Laing) Williams. She married William Heath of Seneca who preceded her in death in 1978. On October 20, 1979, she married David Keller of Seneca who survives.

She was the president of the Seneca Ambulance Service, the first woman president of the Seneca Fire Department, worked as the village clerk of Seneca, and served as the matron and photographer for the Seneca Police Department. Darlene was an associate member of the Illinois Police Association.

Darlene is survived by her five children, Darryl Heath, Craig (Debbie) Heath, Scott (Carol Griseto) Heath, Kerri Orsburn, and Toyna Keller; her four grandchildren, Nick, Kaleigh, Brett, and Devin; her six great-grandchildren; and her sister-in-law, Cathy Williams.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William; her twin sister, Marlene Brayton; and her brother, Donald Williams.

Memorials may be directed to the Seneca Fire Department or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
