Daniel James Price Sr., 60, of Marseilles, passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2023.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, August 4 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Marseilles. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. Friday at the church with Fr. Sixmund Henry officiating. Seals-Campbell Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.

Daniel was born April 23, 1963, in Chicago, to Donald W. and Eleanor M. (Floress) Price.

He was employed by Holland Trucking, and he was a member of the Teamsters Union for over thirty years and set to retire in October.

Daniel always had a big heart, and he would always put his kids and others before himself no matter the circumstances. He was also a master of the grill and an excellent cook. No matter what he made, it always turned out excellent. Many knew of his special ingredient in his grilling, Cavenders. Daniel always had a great story to tell and always ended in a great laugh. He impacted many of our lives and if you ever had a chance to talk to him, you would know he loves each and every one of you.

He is survived by his four loving children, Courtney Price of Oak Lawn, Daniel Price Jr. of Boubonnais, Alyssa Price and Reena Price, both of Oak Lawn; one grandchild, Ivy Price; his mother, Eleanor Price; his siblings, Frank (Laurie) Price, Valerie (Carl) Gergits, Patricia (Kevin) Martin, Donald Price, Peggy Jo Price, Susan (Roland) Foster, David (Carrie) Price, and Cynthia (Kenneth) Smith; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Donald.
