Daniel Kenneth Hill, 44, of Bloomington, passed away Wednesday October 13, 2021 at Carle BroMenn Medical Center in Normal.

Graveside services will be private with Rev. Duane Kaufman officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery with Military Honors. Seals-Campbell Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

He was born February 24, 1977, in Fort Huachuca, AZ, to James and Ruth (Orvis) Hill.

Daniel served in the US Army in the field of communications and was stationed in Germany and Fort Bragg, NC. He graduated from Ottawa High School in 1996 and from Heartland Community College in Normal. Daniel was a tutor in the Bloomington Normal area, recently he was employed by Roehl Transport. He enjoyed gardening, bicycling and hiking.  He was especially interested in Math and Science and his greatest love was going places and making projects with his daughter.

He is survived by his daughter, Amelia Rosenbloom-Hill; his parents, James and Ruth Hill; his sisters, Beth Hoke, Mary (Gil) Roth and Theresa Bishop; one brother, John (Megan Schaffner) Hill and many nieces, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Josef; his grandparents, Kenneth Hill, Steve and Mary Nanouski, and Dellis and Elizabeth Orvis Sr.

Daniel's motto was "Don't be afraid to live your life."
