Cynthia Dianne Duffield-Grooms, 70, of Marseilles, passed away Saturday, April 23, 2022 at her home.

A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, May 8 at the First Baptist Church in Marseilles with Pastor Troy Tvrdik officiating.

She was born November 21, 1951, in Macomb, IL, to James Willard Jr. and Mary Ann (Wilson) Thompson. In 2016, she married David Grooms of Marseilles.

Cindy was a member of the First Baptist Church in Marseilles where she was active in their Bible Study program. She enjoyed donating blood to The American Red Cross and was a volunteer at the Marseilles Library.  She loved traveling to music festivals and spending time with her children Yvonne and Tavis.

She is survived by her husband, David; her children, Yvonne (Scott) Reader of Sheboygan, WI, and Tavis Duffield of Marseilles; and her two brothers, William Thompson, and Tim (Tanya) Thompson.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
