Craig W. Mooney Sr., 58, of Seneca, passed away suddenly on April 20, 2024.

A celebration of life will be held from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 1, 2024 at Fat Daddy'z in Seneca. Seals-Campbell Funeral Home was entrusted with arrangements.

Craig was born on September 30, 1965, in Morris, to Charles Sr. and Helen (Rasmussen) Mooney.

He enjoyed his time on his Harley, the outdoors, fishing, and hunting mushrooms and game. Moon was always available to help a friend. He enjoyed rooting for the Chicago Bears and loved spending time with his children and family.

Craig is survived by four children, Jessica (Nick) Brown of Urbana, James (Rachel) Mooney of Marseilles, Josie Mooney of Ottawa, and CJ Mooney of WA; one grandchild, Nikoli Brown, his beloved dog, Bear; two sisters, Cheryl Midnight and Colleen Dickenson, one brother, Curtis Mooney; a sister-in-law, Rita Mooney; ten nieces and nephews; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Charles  Mooney Jr. and Clayton Mooney; one sister, Cynthia McIntire; and his nephew, John Synder.
