Corey Eugene Harper, 45, of Tonica formerly of Marseilles and Aurora, passed away Wednesday November 1, 2017.

Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Sunday, November 5 at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home in Marseilles with Rev. Duane Kaufman officiating. Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Corey was born October 14, 1972 in Naperville, to Donald Jr. and Mary (Springborn) Harper.

He was employed as a carpenter and was a member of Carpenters Union Local 1889. He was a jack of all trades and a friend to everyone.

Corey is survived by three children, Brandon Harper of Streator, and Allison and Grant Harper of Lostant; his father, Donald Jr. (Terry) Harper of Sheridan; step-father, Jim Carlson of Marseilles; grandfather, Donald Harper Sr. of Marseilles; three sisters, Sheena, Terina, and Heather Ellis all of Sheridan; two brothers, Jody (Zara) Harper of WI and Michael Brockhum of Marseilles; his longtime friends, Jenny Lawrence and Randy Freeman; and his dog Chloe.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Carlson; grandmother, Evelyn Harper; grandparents Grant and Margaret Springborn; one brother Denny Carlson; and one sister Evelyn Ellis.
