Connie June Cavanaugh, 79, of Marseilles, passed away on Monday, November 24, 2025, at OSF St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Ottawa.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, December 1 at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 2 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marseilles with Fr. John Baptist and Deacon Ron Wackerlin officiating. Burial will be in St. Andrew Cemetery in Farm Ridge.

Connie was born on February 19, 1946, in LaSalle, IL, to Charles and Dolly (Thomas) Huss. In 1966, she married Eddie D. Cavanaugh Sr. of Marseilles who preceded her in death in 2014.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and St. Valentine Parish. She was the Circulation Manager for the Daily Times in Marseilles. Connie served on the Marseilles School Board and was a past president, the Ottawa Township High School Board, and the Marseilles Chamber of Commerce. She enjoyed working at C.P. 's Ice Cream at Illini State Park.

She is survived by two sons, Eddie Cavanaugh Jr. and Chad Cavanaugh, both of Marseilles, and her sister, Charlene Alvani.

Connie is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Eddie.
