Christopher William Howell, 40, of Ottawa, passed away on Monday, November 20, 2023.

Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, November 24 at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 5 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Megan Thompson of the Marseilles United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Galloway Cemetery in Marseilles.

Chris was born on March 19, 1983 in Ottawa, to Wayne and Patricia (Goodin) Howell.

He was a graduate of Ottawa High School and worked as a manager at Zip Pack. Chris was an avid fisherman and hunter, a Chicago sports fan, and he loved his dog, Max.

Survivors include his father, Wayne Howell of Denning, NM; his mother, Patricia (Bob) Parkins of Bozeman, MT; two step-sisters, Diane (Steve) Degenkolb and Debbie Masiak, both of IN; his uncle and aunt, Billy and Janeen Goodin; his cousins, Jeffery, John, and Ben Goodin; and many close friends.

Chris was proceeded in death by his grandparents and one brother, Nicholas.
