Carol J. Youmans, 79, of Marseilles, passed away Saturday, February 15, 2020 at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, IL.

Visitation will be from 9 to 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, February 19 at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 12 p.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Marseilles with Father Augustin Kassa officiating.  Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery in Marseilles.

Carol was born June 28, 1940, in Streator, to Giles and Martha (Yedinak) Whalen.  On June 12, 1970, she married Frank Youmans of Marseilles, who survives.

She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church where she served on the Funeral Dinner Committee, taught CCD, and was a member of the St. Teresa Avila Third Order Lay Carmelites. Carol was a kind and gentle person and was a caregiver to many people.

Carol is survived by her husband, Frank; three brothers, Roger Whalen of KY, Stanley (Lynn) Whalen of Marseilles, and Phillip Whalen of Ranson; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Joyce Seaborn; and one brother, Raymond Whalen.

Pallbearers will be Stanley and Phillip Whalen, Kris and Kip Ingmanson, Chris McCarter, and Josh Marco.
