Carol June Stewart, 82, of Marseilles, passed away on Friday, December 1, 2023 at Aperion Care Marseilles.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday, December 5 at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home. A celebration of life will follow at 12 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor John Patterson officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery in Marseilles at a later date.

She was born on June 30, 1941, in Arlington Heights, IL, to Oscar August and Marie (Yandick) Anderson. On November 11, 1960, she married Lynn Fuchs. On February 14, 1991, she married Elmer Stewart who preceded her in death in 2010.

Carol was a member of Parkview Baptist Church in Marseilles. She owned and operated Silver Scissors Beauty Shop in Marseilles until her retirement. She was employed by the Marseilles Elementary School as a lunchroom aide and volunteered at Rivershores for many years.

She is survived by her children, Raymond K. (Lisa) Fuchs and Cheryl (Jeff) Eiben; five grandchildren, Ryan (Alicia), Patrick (Callie) and Sean (Adrian) Fuchs, Cole (Ashlee) Eiben and Morgan (Tim) Joback; and eleven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters; and six brothers.
