Beverly June Smith, 87, of Marseilles, passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at her home.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, October 19 at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 12 noon at the funeral home with Pastor Troy Tvrdik of the Marseilles First Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery in Marseilles.

She was born on January 5, 1937, in Ottawa, to William and Frances (Conkle) Cupples. In 1957, she married Ronald Smith of Marseilles who preceded her in death in 2019.

Bev was a member of the Marseilles First Baptist Church. She was employed by Union Carbide for many years and then by Handy Foods South until her retirement.

She is survived by one daughter, Denise Smith of Marseilles; two sons, Ronald Jr. (Karen) Smith of Seneca and Rickey Smith of Marseilles; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one sister, Judy (Robert) Armstrong of Ottawa; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ronald; two sisters, Rita Schaibley and Sherry Lynn McKenzie; and two brothers, Robert and William Cupples.
