Austin Dean Drake's Obituary
Austin D. "Hoss" Drake, 33, of Marseilles, passed away Sunday, November 6, 2016 at University of Chicago Medical Center.
Funeral services will be 11 a. m. Friday at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home with Rev. Duane Kaufman officiating. Burial will be in Galloway Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8
p. m. Thursday at the funeral home.
He was born on February 16, 1983 in Ottawa to Kevin and Cathy (Knott) Drake.
Austin enjoyed fishing, motorcycles and playing games with his nephews. He also enjoyed NASCAR and motorsports.
He is survived by his mother, Cathy (Gene) Kaufman of Ottawa; his father, Kevin Drake of Marseilles; one sister, Dawn (Ryan Wilson) Drake of Ottawa; two nephews, Dustin and Patrick Gerkitz; the love of his life, Julie Kaalaas of Marseilles and her son, Anders; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Memorials may be given to the family.
Pallbearers will be Justin Crabb, Bobby Kwit, Josh and Nick Johnson, Josh Cave, Chris Cooper and Ryan McAlpine. Honorary pallbearers will be Dustin and Patrick Gerkitz.
