Arlie Earl Defenbaugh Jr., 74, of Marseilles, formerly of Streator, passed away on Thursday, November 17, 2022.

Funeral services will be private at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home in Marseilles.

He was born on April 11, 1948, in Vienna, Austria, to Arlie Earl Defenbaugh Sr. and June E. (Overocker) Defenbaugh. He married Mary Bolden of Nashville, who preceded him in death.

Arlie served in the Marines from 1972 to 1974. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who enjoyed eating his catch.

He is survived by his sisters, Barbara J. (Wendell Darling) Schmitt of Morris, and Carol A. Defenbaugh of Streator: his brother, Lonnie R. (Kay) Defenbaugh of Vista, CA; a step-sister, Marilyn (Larry) McCann of Ransom.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mary; his step-mother, Agnes; and step-brother, Dave Fairall.
