In Loving Memory of Anthony Scott Spencer
April 9, 1989-April 1, 2025
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Anthony Scott Spencer, who left us on April 1, 2025, at the age of 35. He was a loving son, a devoted husband and father, a cherished brother, and an awesome uncle, whose kindness, strength, and warmth touched everyone who knew him.
Anthony was born on April 9th 1989 to Scott Spencer and Terry Smith and grew up in Marseilles, IL. He was employed at Exit 90 on I-80 Truck & Trailer Wash, Inc. in Ottawa.
He was a pillar of love and support to his family, always putting others before himself. As a father, he was dedicated, patient, and full of unconditional love. As a brother, he was a best friend, protector, and a source of endless laughter. He loved to be around his friends and family, loved to cook, and spend time outdoors.
He is survived by his wife Clora, son Bryce, his father, Scott (Chris) Spencer; his mother, Terry (Steve) Casey; his sister, Nikki Casey; his grandmothers, Beverly Rodriguez and June Wilcoxen; and his uncles, Bill (Christine) Peters, Dave (Melissa) Peters, and Stu (Cheryl) Spencer.
He was preceded in death by his son, Ethan William Spencer; his grandparents, Dwane and Jan Spencer, Thomas Smith and Kenny Rodriguez; an uncle, Rod Spencer; and best friend, David Lindholm.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 9 at Seals-Campbell Funeral home. Funeral services will follow at 6 p.m. with Pastor John Paul Robbins and Pastor John Patterson officiating. Friends and family are welcome to join us in honoring his life and saying our final goodbyes.
Though Anthony is no longer with us in body, his love, kindness, and the memories we shared will live on forever. Rest in peace, Anthony. You are deeply loved and will be missed beyond words.
In lieu of flowers, please consider helping the family with funeral expenses.
