Adele was born August 8, 1928, in Ottawa, to Arthur Sr. and Elizabeth (Pleskovitch) Barron.
She was a graduate of Ottawa Township High School and St. Joseph School of Nursing in Joliet, IL. She married pharmacist, James Schott, who preceded her in death in 1994.
Adele is survived by six children, Daniel (Crystal) Schott, Donna (Timothy) Sibert, Gerald (Theresa) Schott, all of Ottawa, William (Cynthia) Schott of Garner, NC, Timothy (Karen) Schott of Utica, and Andrew (Melissa) Schott of Sterling, IL; eleven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; one brother, Arthur Barron Jr. of Santa Barbara, CA; one sister Zeta Conrad of Ottawa; one sister-in-law Doris Barron of Ashville, NC; and many nieces and nephews.

Adele worked as a registered nurse in Ottawa until becoming a mother. After her family was grown, she worked as a chart auditor at Palestine General Hospital in Palestine, TX. Moving back to Ottawa in 1994, she became a member of St. Patrick Church and Catholic Daughters of the Americas. She loved to garden and bake for her family and friends. Her hobbies included china painting and making art projects with costume jewelry. Her most treasured moments in later life were spent playing various card games (from old maid with grandchildren, to poker, hand'n foot, etc. with grown children, and bridge with friends.) She loved the almost daily visits from her children and spending a week every year with them fishing in Wisconsin.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be directed to St. Patrick Church, 726 W. Jefferson St., Ottawa, IL 61350 or St. Jude Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl., Memphis, TN 38105.
