Angeline L. Rhines, 84, of Marseilles, passed away Monday, January 14, 2013 at her home.
Mass of Christian burial will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 17 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Marseilles with Monsignor J. Brian Rejsek officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home in Marseilles. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery in Marseilles.
She was born March 13, 1928 in Spring Valley to John and Mary (Priami) Bergera. On May 28, 1949, she married Richard Rhines of Marseilles, who passed away July 13, 1968.
Angie was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and the Marseilles Home Extension. She and her husband owned and operated Rhines Grocery Store in Marseilles for many years. Angie was employed by Nabisco until her retirement. She enjoyed her grandchildren and playing Bingo.
Angie is survived by one daughter, Denise (Bill) Medler of Marseilles; a son-in-law, Tom Adler of Marseilles; three grandchildren, Eric and Terry Medler, and Amy (Chris) Arnold; two great-granddaughters, Chloe Medler and Elizabeth Arnold and one sister, Betty (Charles) Calligaris of Marseilles.
She was preceded in death by her husband; one daughter, Renee Adler; and one sister, Roseanne. Memorials may be given to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
