Clarence R. Johnson, 83, of Marseilles, passed away Saturday July 7, 2012 at Morris Hospital.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a. m. Wednesday at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home with Reverend Dustin Anderson of the Trinity Lutheran Church of Marseilles officiating. Burial will be in Nichol Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
He was born October 27, 1928 in Marseilles to Samuel and Bessie (Schank) Johnson. In 1958, he married Mary Hogue of Marseilles who survives.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. He served in the Army and then was a self employed carpenter and painter. He loved his family.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; two sons, James (Barb) and Robert (Debbie) both of Marseilles; three grandsons, Tanner Johnson and Dusten and Chad Wilson; five great-grandchildren, Hueston, Brayden, Charlotte and Korra and Emma Wilson; and one sister, Doris Pile of Topeka, KS.
He was preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers.
Memorials may be directed to the family.
Pallbearers will be Tanner Johnson, Dusten and Chad Wilson and Michael Hogue.
