Frank O. Chiovatero, 69, of Seneca, passed away Monday June 25, 2012 at his home surrounded by family and friends.

Funeral services will be private. There will be no visitation. Seals-Campbell Funeral Home in Marseilles is handling the arrangements.

He was born January 23, 1943 in Marseilles to Joseph M. and Cora (Scott) Chiovatero. In 1974, he married Nancy Doty. He later married Diane Johnson of Aurora in 1992.

He graduated from Marseilles High School in 1961. He was employed by K & D Trucking until his retirement in 2006. Frank was an avid sportsman and loved hunting, fishing, and trap shooting. He was a longtime member of Downers Grove Sportsman’s Club in Morris. He loved all animals.

He is survived by his wife, Diane of Seneca; two sons, Joey (Colleen) Chiovatero of North Aurora and Marc (Sharon) Doty of Sycamore; his step-children, Tahna (Daniel) Hallet of Sterling, MA, Tracy Cannon of LaSalle, and Peter (Lena) Sullivan of Ottawa; thirteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lucille (Clifford) Elliott of Marseilles and Corrine (Art) Horton of Burlington, WI and one brother, Clifford “Tony” (Linda) Chiovatero of Lake Bluff, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
