Evelyn P. “Evie” Bertagnoli, 72, of Marseilles, formerly of Country Club Hills and Joliet, passed away Monday, April 16, 2012 at Ottawa Regional Hospital.

Memorial services will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in Marseilles with Rev. Quentin Mullinex officiating. Entombment will be in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday at the church. Seals-Campbell Funeral Home in Marseilles is in charge of arrangements.

She was born November 1, 1939 in Chicago to Elmer and Elizabeth (Reuther) Grotsma. In 1989, she married James Bertagnoli who preceded her in death in 2011.

She was a member of the Marseilles Curves and a caregiver to many.

She is survived by one daughter, Cathy (Rory) Maltrotto of Glenwood, IL; two step-daughters, Susan (Garth) Xander of West Chicago and Lisa (John) Dale of Romeoville; six grandchildren, Nanette (Louie), Tresha, Christine, Grace, Megan and John Jr.; two great-grandchildren, Nicholle and Brandon; her special “angels”, the Nordlies; and her dog, Mollie.

She was preceded in death by her husband; two sons, Edward and John Larmon; and one sister, Eileen.
