Norman John Elzer, II, 37, of Mt. Juliet, TN, formerly of Marseilles, passed away Sunday March 18, 2012.
Funeral services will be 4:00 p.m. Saturday at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home in Marseilles with Rev. Ted Deal officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery in Marseilles. Visitation will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
He was born June 28, 1974 in Ottawa to Norman and Claudette (Witte) Elzer. In 2009, he married Christy DuPree of Huntsville, AL.
Norm was a 1992 graduate of Seneca High School and graduated from Lewis University in 1994 with an associate’s degree in Aviation Maintenance Technology. He was a gifted and talented mechanic who could fix anything. Norm was transferred to Tennessee with his job at DHL Freight. He enjoyed working on his hand built hot rod and riding his motorcycle. He was a loving husband, devoted father, helping neighbor and he dearly loved his family.
He is survived by his wife, Christy DuPree Elzer of Mt. Juliet, TN; one daughter, Abigail Diane Elzer; an unborn child due in September; his parents, Norman and Claudette Elzer of Marseilles; a grandmother, Margaret Witte of Marseilles; three sisters, Vicki Stanford, Nanci Elzer (Mark) Blasgen and Kelli Elzer; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Daryl and Diane DuPree of Madison, AL; and brother-in-laws, Daniel (Rachel) DuPree and Brett (Sarah) DuPree.
