George Ardell Duggan, 87, of Marseilles, passed away Tuesday March 6, 2012 at Rivershores Care Center.
A memorial mass of Christian burial will be 11 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marseilles, Monsignor J. Brian Rejsek officiating, with visitation following the mass in the church hall. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery in Marseilles. Seals-Campbell Funeral Home in Marseilles is handling the arrangements.
George was born September 6, 1924 in Ottawa to Philip and Mary Irene (Case) Duggan. In 1947, he married Jeanette Tio of Marseilles.
He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He served in the Navy during W. W. II and was a member of American Legion Post #235 and V.F.W. Post # #5506. He was a member of the Teamsters and was employed by St. Louis Beverage in Ottawa for 38 years as a Budweiser salesman.
George is survived by his wife, Jeanette; one daughter, Susan (Daniel) Pardo of Phoenix, Ariz.; one son, David of Marseilles; and one sister, Irene LePard.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Philip and Charles.
