John J.

John J. “Jack” Parisot, 67, of Ottawa, formerly of Marseilles, passed away Monday March 5, 2012 at Rivershores Care Center.

Mass of Christian burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marseilles with Monsignor J. Brian Rejsek officiating. Burial will be in St. John’s Catholic Cemetery in Somonauk. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home in Marseilles.

He was born March 23, 1944 in Rockford to John L. and Helen J. (Hill) Parisot. On August 15, 1964, he married Pauline Mettille of Ottawa.

He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He graduated from Marquette High School in 1962. He was a carpenter until his retirement. He received his Master Gardeners Certificate from the University of Illinois. He had a lifelong passion for agriculture and animals.

He is survived by his wife, Pauline; two daughters, Jackie (Jeff) Fries of Elk Grove Village and Julia (John Lee) Parisot of Chicago; one son, John Jay (Chad Zawitz) Parisot of Chicago; four grandchildren, Dean Michael and Drew Matthew Fries, and twins, Dylan Marley and Natalie Marie Fries; four sisters, Sharon (Vernon) Cates of Ottawa, Cathy (Jim) Ramer of Ottawa, JoAnne Kuwamoto of Sturgis, Mich., and Nancy (Curt) Bruck of Ottawa; and four brothers, Ken (Gloria) of Milwaukee, Wis., Mark (Dawn) of Marseilles, Paul (Deb) of Freedom Township, and Lawrence (Robeth) of Ottawa.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Charles and David in infancy, Ted and James “Jake”; and one sister, Elaine Behrens.
