Richard A. Klaves, 76, of Marseilles, formerly of Chicago, passed away Friday, January 27, 2012 at Rivershores Care Center.
Funeral services will be private. There will be no visitation. Seals-Campbell Funeral Home in Marseilles is in charge of arrangements.
He was born October 29, 1935 in Chicago to Arthur and Mary (Charaz) Klaves. In 1955, he married Marilyn Mentz of Chicago who survives.
He was a teamster and drove a truck for Certified Grocers until his retirement. He was a loyal and devoted Cubs fan.
Richard is survived by his wife, Marilyn; one daughter, Kelli (Perry) Clark of Marseilles; one son, Richard M. (Donna) Klaves of Hickory Hills, Ill.; his grandchildren, Hillari, Hailey, Hannah Melissa, Richard E. and Jon, three great grandchildren and one brother, Kenneth (Fran) Klaves of Florida.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Clifford.
